St. Louis plans spaghetti supper
CUSTAR - An all-you-can-eat spaghetti supper is planned for Saturday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at St. Louis Catholic School, Ohio 281 Custar.
The meal includes spaghetti, bread, salad, ice cream dessert and beverage.
A free will donation will be accepted.
Proceeds will go to St. Louis School.
Abigail Dunphy named National Merit honoree
TOLEDO - Notre Dame Academy has announced that Abigail Dunphy, of Bowling Green, was named a National Merit Commended Student.
Dunphy is an IB subject certificate candidate in Chinese, History, Biology and English. She is also taking AP Calculus AB. She is a two-year member of the St. John's Jesuit Marching Band where she plays trumpet. She has been a member of the NDA spring play stage crew all four years.
An active volunteer in the Bowling Green community she has served at the food pantry several years and is a familiar face at the Wood County Public Library. She has also been involved helping with children's activities and childcare at St. Thomas More University Parish and St. Aloysius Catholic Church and Elementary School.
She plans to study Chinese and pharmacy in college.
Currently, two of the universities she is considering are the University of Chicago and the University of Pittsburgh.
