BGHS Drama hosts Festival of the Arts
The Bowling Green High School Drama Club is sponsoring the 2013 Festival of the Arts on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.
The event will feature 15 various acts, including Spanish teacher Dallas Black on guitar with his two sons accompanying on banjo, a musical theater song performed by senior Justin Brown and his father Dr. Michael Brown, and a reader's theater scene performed by members of the Horizon Youth Theatre.
The event also will showcase dance, spoken-word poetry and a preview of the upcoming spring musical "Beauty and the Beast."
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door. Proceeds will support the drama club's trip to the International Thespian Festival in June.
Glenwood Elem. collects food
ROSSFORD - Glenwood Elementary is participating in the ProMedica "Come to the Table" Food Drive Challenge.
The school is seeking donations of non-perishable boxed, canned, or jarred foods to donate to the Perrysburg Christian United Food Bank. This food drive will continue until March 21.
Glenwood has the opportunity to not only support this cause, but to win a $1,000 donation to the school if it is the school in the region collecting the most amount of food by weight.
Drop items of in the Glenwood office at 8950 Avenue Road.
