Eastwood accepts $2,700 in donations PDF Print E-mail

PEMBERVILLE - The Eastwood Board of Education accepted donations totalling more than $2,700 during its Monday meeting.
The largest donation was more than $1,917 from the Eastwood Band Boosters for a marching band observation scaffolding. The organization also gave $695 for partial payment of a King 1124SP baritone.
A $145 donation was also accepted from the Luckey Class of 1953 to be used for the students at Luckey Elementary.
In other business, the board:
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Commended a series of 13 district students, including Katelyn Lang, Rebecca Lang and Veronica Sholey for being selected to the OMEA Northwest Region Honors Orchestra; Jae Eun Schermerhorn and James Wasylyshyn for being selected to the Bowling Green State University Middle School Honor Band; Reid Zura for spearheading a Devin Kolman Christmas Card drive at the middle school; Chloe Wilson and Brooke Moenter for having artwork selected to the Safety Kids Calendar contest sponsored by the Wood County Prosecutor's Office; Sarah Selzer for being selected Eastwood High School's November Student of the Month; Maddie Jackson and Hannah Sponaugle for being Girl's Cross Country State Qualifiers; and Tim Hoodlebrink for being a Boy's Cross Country State Qualifier.
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Approved Robyn Rogers as an after-school tutor at $22 an hour, on an as-needed basis, and Kendra Bucks as a long-term substitute, effective Monday and going through the end of the school year.
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Approved a resolution recognizing the new Alumni Association of Eastwood High School.
