Blake Hughes of Rossford will serve at the Home of Love in Chennai, India, this January for
what is Huntington University’s third trip to serve at the all-girls orphanage. Hughes is a junior
Computer Science and Animation major at HU.Home of Love, an orphanage for Indian girls at risk of living
on the streets or getting involved in prostitution, is forever bonded with HU. Students have raised
thousands of dollars for the orphanage in past years in addition to leading Bible studies and performing
on-site construction.Amanda Ridenour, a junior animal science/pre-veterinary medicine major, recently
performed in the University of Findlay’s Marching Oiler Brass concert. Ridenour, of Bloomdale, is a 2011
graduate of Elmwood High School. At UF, Ridenour participates in marching band and concert band.Troy
Wahl of Pemberville, a sophomore majoring in accounting, is a member of Sigma Tau Nu, one of five
fraternities at Heidelberg University.Elisabeth White of Northwood, a junior majoring in education and
history, is a member of Kappa Psi Omega, one of five sororities at Heidelberg University.Stacy Molnar of
Northwood, a junior majoring in health and physical education, is a member of the Philalethean Society,
one of five sororities at Heidelberg University.Jay Beardsley of Bowling Green, is a member of the
Technical Productions Crew at Ashland University. Beardsley is majoring in business management.
Beardsley and is a 2013 graduate of Otsego High School.Christy Hamman of Bloomdale, a junior majoring in
communication & theatre arts, is a member of the Delta Sigma Chi sorority at Heidelberg
University.Mercedes McGee of Rossford, is a member and secretary of the Geology Club at Ashland
University. McGee is majoring in integrated language arts. She is a 2010 graduate of Rossford High
School.
