Genevieve Boardman, of Perrysburg, is among 35 students from Heidelberg University who were inducted into
Alpha Lambda Delta, a national honor society that recognizes academic excellence among first-year
students. Boardman is a sophomore majoring in computer science and music. To qualify, she had to achieve
a 3.5 or better grade-point average during their first year.
With the theme "We Come from a Land Down Under," the 43-member Heidelberg Symphonic Band,
performed its spring concert. Local students performing in the band were Morgan Mabry of Northwood, a
junior majoring in Music, playing the clarinet; Krystal Harms of Walbridge, a junior majoring in
Psychology, playing the trumpet; and Genevieve Boardman of Perrysburg, a freshman majoring in Computer
Science and Music, playing the tuba.
