Megan Peiffer from Perrysburg received one of 60 awards and scholarships presented to high-achieving students in Ohio University's College of Health Sciences and Professions on June 1. She earned the Mary Pallay Covell Scholarship.

Andy Gunkler graduated from Grove City College on May 19 with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering degree. He is a 2008 graduate of Perrysburg High School and is the son of Walter Gunkler Jr. and Penny Gunkler.

Morgan Corpe, Bowling Green, earned a master's degree in forensic psychology from Marymount University on May 20.

Ohio Wesleyan University celebrated its 168th commencement ceremony May 13. Local residents graduating included Alexandra Bishop of Grand Rapids, Kellie Gross of Pemberville, Alexandra Hutchings of Weston, all with bachelor of arts degrees.

Maria Elizabeth Diokno Dionisio of Northwood, received her doctor of medicine degree May 19 from Northeast Ohio Medical University. She is the daughter of Ramon and Emily Dionisio.

Sarah Sweet of North Baltimore, majoring in psychology, and Rosemary Szparagowski of Bowling Green, majoring in Phase 1 BS MD, were named to the spring semester dean's list at Youngstown State University.

Sarah Mekeel of Portage received a master's degree in educational foundations during the commencement ceremony at Widener University on May 12.

Tyler Kleeberger, Rossford, earned a bachelor of arts degree in communication with cum laude honors from the University of Mount Union on May 5.

Sarah Elizabeth Will, Millbury, graduated cum laude from Clemson University with a bachelor of science degree in animal and veterinary sciences.

These area students are on the spring semester dean's list at the University of Akron: Lauren Brown, Bowling Green; Christine Gallatin and Kirsten Wegman, both of Northwood; Olivia Hegedus, David Hirt, Lindsay Matolyak, Andrew Senica and Kylie Weglo, all of Perrysburg; Hillary West, Walbridge; and Jordan Duncan, Morgan Hoffman and Erica Holman, all of Fostoria.

Brandon Rabb  received a bachelor of arts degree with a major in information systems from Cedarville University. He is the son of Rick and Pat Rabb and a 2007 Bowling Green High School graduate.

Michelle Rabb, a freshman marketing major, was named to the spring semester dean's list at Cedarville University. She is the daughter of Rick and Pat Rabb, Bowling Green.

Kara Sigmon of Perrysburg, who is majoring in marketing, was named to the spring semester dean's list at Clemson University.
