Austin Steward, of Bloomdale, was inducted into the Sphinx Senior Honorary at Ohio State University, when
he is working toward in bachelor’s degree in finance and international studied.
He is in OSU’s Buckeye Leadership Fellow Program and spends a majority of his time dedicated to the
Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life.
Carmen Cano, Haskins, used what she learned in the classroom at Ohio Northern University to present at an
international scholarly conference devoted to the life, work, influence and artistry of the Beatles. The
conference was held at Penn State University. Cano’s presentation, entitled "A Day in the Life: A
Beatles Graphic Itinerary," shared information from a graphic design course at ONU.
She is a junior advertising design major with a minor in exercise physiology. She is student coordinator
for Artists Against Hunger, president of the fencing club, a DJ on WONB, the ONU radio station, and a
member of Alpha Phi Omega, Northern Chime marching and pep bands, and the softball club.
