Aimee Whitmer, daughter of Jeff and Gail Whitmer of Grand Rapids, is participating in a cross-cultural experience in San Antonio, May 8-28. She and other Bluffton University students will be exposed to Tejano and Mexican culture and history, and will volunteer in a service-learning placement.  Students will learn the needs and concerns of farmworkers who travel from South Texas to Ohio. Whitmer is a junior at Bluffton, where she is majoring in psychology and social work. She is a graduate of Otsego High School.
