A total of 36 Heidelberg University students are participating this academic year in the university’s
chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, the national service fraternity. Among Heidelberg’s APO members are the
following local residents: Felicia Konrad of North Baltimore, a senior majoring in anthropology and
history; and Krystal Harms of Walbridge, a junior majoring in psychology.
Jamie O’Connell, Bradner, was among the ninth graduating class of Terra State Community College’s
Associate Degree Nursing program to receive their nursing pins during a ceremony Dec. 18 at the college.

Bowling Green resident Matthew Kneessi is the recipient of a $14,000 Academic Achievement Scholarship to
attend Wilmington College, where he plans to major in athletic training. Kneessi, the son of Melanie
VanDyne of Bowling Green and Dave Kneessi of Portage, will graduate in 2014 from Bowling Green High
School. His activities include: varsity football (two time letterman), varsity lacrosse, Young Life,
DECA, National Honor Society and Future Farmers of America.
