BG Woman’s Club names winners of writing contest

The Woman’s Club of Bowling Green recently held its 29th annual Creative Writing Contest.
Amy Rahmel was the contest coordinator.
There were first-place winners in each of 11 grades, and are listed along with their school.
First grade: Zack Moon, prose, St. Aloysius School; Emma Ruggiero, prose, St. Aloysius; Michael Schober,
poetry, Bowling Green Christian Academy.
Second grade: Leela Cromwell, prose, Kenwood Elementary; Leanne Hershberger, prose, Kenwood; Eric
Clawson, poetry, Bowling Green Montessori School.
Third grade: Hailey Perez, prose, Crim Elementary; Madison Schroeder, poetry, BGCA.
Fourth grade: Laney Vanderheart, poetry, BG Montessori.
Fifth grade: Hannah Thomas, prose, Crim Elementary; Elana Cable, poetry, BG Montessori.
Sixth grade: Ryan Tyrrell, prose, Kenwood; Lily Krueger, poetry, BG Montessori.
Seventh grade: William Cagle, prose, St. John’s Academy.
Ninth grade: Daphne Siwajek-Spence, prose, homeschooled.
Tenth grade: Jessica Albright, poetry, Bowling Green High School; Erica Rybak, poetry, BGHS.
Eleventh grade: Megan Willen, prose (no school provided).
Twelfth grade: Steven Cardenas, poetry, BGHS.
