Sand-Tastic! Fest takes over Levis Commons

PERRYSBURG – This summer, Northwest Ohio residents will not have to go far for the sights and sounds of
the beach. The Town Center at Levis Commons will present its fourth annual Sand-Tastic! summer festival
on June 27-28.
Guests of all ages will enjoy watching as four giant sand sculptures and two sidewalk chalk murals come
to life.
The following activities will take place:
June 27 and 28:
Noon to 8 p.m. – A team of talented artists create four eight-ton sand sculptures and two eight-foot
chalk drawings on the sidewalks.
Noon to 8 p.m. – A community sandbox and water tables will offer seasonal sensory play.
Noon to 5 p.m. – Dig deeper and learn more about conservation with the Wood Soil and Water Conservation
District. From water shedding to rain gardens and soil erosion, hands on learning will be fun for all
ages.
Noon to 8 p.m. – Graffiti artists from Toledo School for the Arts will wow the crowd with colorful
creations.
Noon to 8 p.m. – Hop around inside a bounce house or try your skills at an inflatable obstacle course.

Noon to 5 p.m. – Children under six can take a spin on a miniature John Deere Gator track.
Noon to 6 p.m. – Enjoy some hands-on science fun with the Imagination Station.
2 to 2:45 p.m. – Professional sand sculptors will provide lessons in the community sandbox.
3 to 8 p.m. – Live music on the boulevard provided by DJ Paul Hernandez.
June 28:
2 to 4 p.m. – Jeff Stewart performs near the fountain.
6 to 8 p.m. – A steel drum band will perform near the fountain.
