On May 15 Wood County Hospital will present a program entitled Battling the Middle Age Spread as part of
its Positively Pink Women’s Health program series.
The program will take place from 6:30 – 9 p.m. in the Wood County Hospital meeting rooms.
Carolyn Tienarend, a licensed dietitian, will discuss Nutrition for Women Over 40. She will explain
women’s ever-changing nutritional needs during the aging process, and will review food labels to help
women better assess if what they are eating is healthy and nutritional.
Family Practice physician Nicholas Espinoza, D.O. will explain why the spread across the middle happens
as adults age, and what can be done to prevent or lessen the effects as we begin to experience the
pre-menopause years and beyond.
The event will also include product displays, free health screenings, refreshments and door prizes.
To register, call 419-354-8887 or go online to woodcountyhospital.org.
