Kiwanis to hear state officers
Former Ohio Kiwanis Governor Bill Snellgrove and Vee Reifsnyder from the Ohio Kiwanis state office will
speak to the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club about setting up satellite clubs at noon on Thursday, at Stone
Ridge Golf Club.
Fish fry in Grand Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS – Alva N. Sidle Post 232 American Legion will hold a fish fry Friday from 5 p.m. until gone.
The all-you-can-eat meal is $10.

Pemberville church dinner set
PEMBERVILLE – Pemberville United Methodist Church will offer a public dinner Saturday from 4:30 to 6:30
p.m. at the church, 205 Perry St.
The meal will include roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, salad bar, roll, homemade dessert
and beverage.
The suggested donation is $9 for adults and $4 for children under 10. Carryouts will be available.
Humane Society donation dates for annual garage sale
The Wood County Humane Society has announced donation dates for its annual garage sale which will be held
May 22-24 under the grandstand at the Wood County Fairgrounds.
Donations of clothing, household items, electronics, furniture, toys, collectibles and other good and
useful items will be accepted at that location May 19, 20 and 21 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All donations to the sale are tax deductible.
Over the years the garage sale has raised more than $160,000 for the care of animals at the Minniebelle
Conley Shelter on Van Camp Road.
