Silver Cross Circle met March 17 at First United Methodist Church with 16 members and one guest present.
Hostesses were Jo Vernon, Helen Lorenzen and Donna Snyder.
A food distribution program has existed since the 1970s at First Methodist and is presently under the direction of  Bob Segna and his wife, Connie.  Segna showed a video explaining the process.  This church mission provides food - mostly staples - once a month for those in need.  Segnas, along with other church volunteers, go to the two food banks in Toledo to get food to distribute. Between $250-$500 per month is needed in order to prepare the 220 bags of food.
Maxine Hagemeyer gave devotions regarding St. Patrick.
Emmy Hann, president, presided at the business meeting.  The nominating committee is lining up new officers for the coming year.
