Women’s Club of Bowling Green
The Women’s Club met March 5 at the Wood County District Public Library Meeting Room.
President Evelyn Bachman opened the meeting and Sharon Franklin gave the inspiration. Suzanna Eberly,
co-owner of Movementality, Yoga & Wellness studio, spoke about the benefits of yoga and the
group participated in a mini-yoga class.
Sue DiBiasio was awarded the title Club Woman of the Month for March. Also recognized were the honorees
for December and February, Melanie Stretchbery and Mary Mackzum.
Meeting hostesses were Becky Bhaer and Helene Weinberger, co-chairmen, along with committee members
Barbara Klopfenstein and Jean Lanning.
Members also met for afternoon coffee on March 9 at the Bowling Green Country Club, where 10 new members
were honored and assigned special sisters.
The new members recognized were Judy Miller, Linda Myers, Tracy Newton, Delia Ramirez, Josephine Sipes,
Karmen Concannon, Deb McLean, Lola Judson, Lynne Comings and Jo Hobson.
Sharon Franklin, membership chairman, announced the special sisters assigned to each new member: Camille
Harris, Jo Vernon, Carol Solether, Bachman, Norma Stickler, Bhaer, Stretchbery, Linda Kuhn, Deb LeGalley
and Bobbi Lane. Franklin also provided gifts for a drawing to thank club members for their participation
in the membership drive.
At the same meeting members present completed 30 blankets for the Linus Project.
The next meeting will be held April 2 at the Heritage Georgian Room where the "Recycling Queen"
will be selected.
