LUCKEY - The Oct. 2 auxiliary meeting was opened by President Betty Briggs, with 19 members present.
Doris Plyant, a new member, was welcomed by the group.
Items received: a thank you from Hope Burkin for the donation to the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund and a donation from the Bockbrader family. These funds will be used for the Girl's State program.
Signed holiday greeting cards were to be taken to the VA Clinic by Oct. 18. They will be sent to our military men and women.
Coupons for the military serving in Japan, France and Germany are ready to be mailed. Coupons should be given to Shirley Davis as soon as possible.
Eloise Brinker urged everyone to continue saving Box Tops for Education.
Shirley Rothenbuhler gave a short report on Obamacare. There are four levels to be considered.
Karen Snyder was thanked for removing the poppies from the cemetery. Davis thanked all the rummage sale workers. Linda Herman will take items not sold to a non-profit organization. St. John's Lutheran Church, Stony Ridge, offer items at no charge.
The next unit meeting will be Nov. 6 at 9 a.m.
