The garden club held a Dec. 12 luncheon meeting in the home of Cathy Nelson, Pine Valley Drive, Bowling Green, with 10 members present.
Patsy Vogelsong and Ruth Ann Beaverson were celebrating December birthdays.
Nelson prepared the luncheon of spiral cut ham, escalloped potatoes, green bean casserole, vegetable salad, apple crumb pie, custard, and mint brownies.
After the luncheon, President Carole Rives held a short business meeting. She presented everyone present with a felt snowman, which she had designed and made.
After the business meeting, fresh flowers and greenery were available for everyone present to make a centerpiece in their own container. A dollar Christmas gift exchange followed.
The next meeting will be held Thursday, Jan. 9 at 1:30 p.m. in McKenzie's Flower Basket on Main Street in Bowling Green. Members will plant terrariums. The cost will be $15 each. Several terrariums will be cultivated at members' homes, to be presented to Wood Haven Health Care Center - current home of club member Marvella Enright - during the meeting in February.
Celebrating January birthdays will be Rives and Royce Beaverson.
