GRAND RAPIDS - The meeting held on June 7 was attended by eight members. Tracy Bostelman reported that the next Honor Flight will be held on June 25 at Holland Post at 6:30 p.m. Bostelman received a certificate for first place in the poppy arrangements and Judy Thomas received a certificate for goal membership. Unit members discussed and approved paying for the lawn mowing service every other month. A thank you was read from Kathy McCollun for sponsoring her for the Honor Flight. Among payments made were $275 to Buckeye Girls State, $100 to VA Outpatient Clinic of Toledo, $25 for Fisher House, $942 for furnace repair, a $50 donation to Relay for Life, $1,000 to Post 232 for expenses, $100 for hall rental and $100 for hall cleaning. There will be no unit meetings in July and August. The post fish fry is June 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. at a cost of $9. The next fish fry will be July 20. There is no fish fry in August. |
