Nine chapter members met May 23 in the home of Rose Emmerich. President Betty Goodman opened the meeting. The roster of members was passed around for any changes necessary. Vicki Harris will send the information to Judy Snyder. To sign up for the Tractor Pull on Aug. 17-19, let Harris know. The chapter's annual picnic will be held July 21 at the home of Nancy and Larry Germann at 5:30 p.m. Each member will bring a covered dish. Members voted to have next year's meetings during daytime hours. Each member will have the choice to host the meeting in the home or a restaurant. Meetings will be at 1:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Callie Slagle, one of the recipients of the Alpha Zeta Nursing Scholarship, will attend the June meeting to receive the check. Slagle will attend Capital University in the fall. Goodman installed the new officers. Harris, the new president, announced the committees. Colleen Smith, service chairman, asked the group if next year they would like to help plant and maintain a flower basket in the Bowling Green downtown area. This was tabled until September. Emmerich presented the program, St. Patrick's Traditions. Afterward, she asked questions regarding what was myth or truth. She served sandwiches, fruit, and dessert. A social hour followed. The next business meeting will be June 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the home of Marilyn Pahl. The program will be summer traditions with chapter participation. |
