LUCKEY - President Shirley Davis opened the May meeting with 12 members present.  
Donna Rolf reported that Kevin Rahrig won one of the savings bonds the unit donated to Eastwood school after-prom.
Poppies were distributed May 14 and 15. Help is needed to decorate the veterans graves at Webster Twp. Cemetery.  Kathryn Shaffer has a graves map.
Poppies will be placed on the veteran's graves in Troy Township Cemetery on May 26, 27 or 28 depending on the weather, from 9:30-10 a.m.
Sixth graders will help place flags on veterans' graves on May 28; 730 poppy bouquets were made to decorate the graves.
The unit is 11 short of its membership goal, 177.
The district convention is June 5 in Sylvania.
Lila James and Shirley Davis conducted a memorial service for deceased members Carol Spoerl, Elva Jacobs, Ruth Meyer and Jane Boggs.
Catering reported a dinner to be served on May 30.  Help is also needed May 29 for food preparation.
There will be no D.A.R.E. banquet this year. The parents voted "no".
Maxine Cross presented the nominated slate of officers for 2010 and 2011:
President: Lila James;  First vice president, Shirley Davis; second vice president, Karen Snyder;  secretary, Elaine Moenter;  treasurer, Donna Rolf;  chaplain, Rose Marie Heilman; historian, Teresa Bailey.  Shaffer, on the Permanent House Committee; and Betty Briggs and Irene Michel on the Executive Committee.  All officers were elected as presented.
Conference and convention delegates are James, Davis, Heilman and Shaffer. Alternates are Michel, Ruth Peters, Levorchick and Cross.
