LUCKEY - President Betty Briggs led the Sept. 4 auxiliary meeting with 14 members present.
Betty Briggs introduced Charlotte Fahle Fox who donated a hand-made quilt of her mother's to the auxiliary. Tickets will be sold at the rummage sale today and Sept. 28. The drawing will be held during the membership dinner in November. Tickets are $1 for one or $5 for six.
Workers and pies are needed for the rummage sale. Pies are also needed for the euchre tournament.
Thank you notes were received from: Ohio Veterans Homes, Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Paralyzed Veterans of American, Zion Lutheran, Irene Michel family, Hannah Stange for the 4-H scholarship, and Fanconi Anemia Research Fund in honor of Hope Burkin.
Money was donated to the Luckey Elementary school music program. Members are invited to their music program.
A donation was sent to the 10 for $10 program for fifth-grade best reader.
Twelve afghans have been donated to the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor and lap robes sent to the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky.
Shirley Rothenbuhler, legislative chairman, gave a report on the first female sheriff, Maude Collins.
District Fall Conference and School of Instruction will be held Oct. 5.
The next meeting will be Oct. 2 at 9 a.m.
