Alpha Zeta Master
Beginning Day was held Aug. 20 for Alpha Zeta Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi International in the home of President Colleen Smith with 10 members present.
Smith served a luncheon for the members and conversation centered around each one's activities over the summer.
President Smith led the meeting that followed.
The programs for the coming year were passed out. Members agreed to meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 12:30 p.m. at the Bowling Green Country Club Each member will select a program of their choice regarding a personal interest.
Betty Goodman received an invitation from Toledo Chapters to attend Beginning Day Aug. 24.
Smith received a packet from International regarding the duties of each officer and committee. Convention information will be forthcoming.
The social committee announced the next social will be the annual steak fry, in the home of Nancy and Larry Germann on Sept. 21. The dinner will be served at 6:30. A list of items needed was passed around for each member to sign up to bring.
Invitations for Exemplar Night will be given to each chapter at the next City Council meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Exemplar Night will be held Oct. 24 at Klotz Greenhouse Cafe. RSVPs should be returned to Germann by Oct. 14.
The service committee asks each member to bring items for First Step. A list of items needed will be handed out next month. Marilyn Pahl will see that the items are delivered to First Step.
Smith served dessert to the group and a social hour followed.
