WATERVILLE - Seven members of Laureate Gamma Sigma celebrated Founder's Day on April 15 with lunch at Shawn's Irish Pub. President Jacquelyn Shank welcomed the members.
Following lunch, the group went to the Shank home for the remainder of the program.
Donna Lambert read the Founder's Day pledge. Judy Robinson gave the international message and new theme for 2013-14, which is "Beta Sigma Phi Lights Up Our Lives."
Perfect attendance was announced for Joyce Asmus, Betty Buehrer, Barbara Heiman, Donna Lambert and Shank.
Following the closing ritual, Shank conducted installation of new officers.
A business meeting followed. Correspondence was read from the Cocoon Shelter and the Otsego Food Pantry. The chapter discussed the May 6 mother-daughter dinner to be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Ohio 582 at 6:30 p.m.
New committees were announced by incoming President Judy Robinson.
The hostess served dessert at the close of the meeting. All were given a yellow rose, the flower of the sorority.
The group previously gathered on April 1, when six members visited a sand sculpture in Findlay, then had lunch and shopped. No meeting was held that day.
