Four Seasons Garden Club
PEMBERVILLE - Ten club members met March 4 at the lLibrary.
Jenny Maxon was welcomed as a guest and possible member.
President Nancy Fahle thanked Lois Siek and Ruth Walters for providing refreshments.
Members approved a motion that each member pay $5 for the project flower and the club will pay the balance. Seeds were distributed to club members.
Teri Hansen purchased flowers for members to share to make floral arrangements. She then led the group in making different styles of designs, including the Hogarth, vertical, mound, inverted T, and triangle. The group then critiqued the arrangements.
Renee Wendt has agreed to co-chair the Pemberville Fair Flower Show with Trina Karns. Judges have been procured. One judge suggested a change in the size of the small arrangements. This change will be made and the final schedule will be emailed to members.
Wendt will also make the contacts for arrangements to move the flower show items from the barn to a new location. The tentative date is March 16.
Members looked at the catalog Roots and Rhizomes.
The April meeting will be at the Wood County Hospital to view the roof-top gardens. Richard Bostdorff will be on-site speaker. Details will be emailed to members.
The OAGC Region 1 Spring meeting will be held May 2 at Bryan Wesley United Methodist Church. Registration deadline is April 25.
