Zonta Club of Bowling Green
Members of the Zonta Club of Bowling Green met March 5 at the BG Country Club for their monthly meeting.
Guest speaker Josh Chatfield, a personal trainer from the Community Center, shared small, yet significant, things you can do to improve your health.
Committee chairpersons discussed several success stories including the highly energetic and motivated Golden Z Club, the Bowling Green State University student organization in its first year of organization. They are actively volunteering at numerous community and campus events with one upcoming event being the BG Art Walk on Saturday, April 27. The Zonta Club is also happy to be a scholarship supporter of "Tech Trek", a week-long residential summer camp on the BGSU campus for eighth grade girls.
On March 12 the club will construct birthing kits to send to Third World countries where many women are in need of supplies decreasing the exposure of babies and themselves to unsanitary conditions.
The Zonta Scholarship applications are now available. The deadline to apply is March 28. Women are encouraged to check the Zonta website (bgzonta.org) for more information.
The next club meeting will be held April 2 at the BG Country Club. The Area 1 meeting is April 27 at the Toledo Public Library.
