Middleton Township Homemakers
Seven members were present at the club's first meeting of 2013, held Feb. 4 at the home of Elaine Frobose.
The group discussed plans for future meetings.
The next meeting will be March 11 at the home of Miriam Aufdenkamp, with Kristel Asmus as co-hostess. Dee Robison will show the group how to make floral pins.
Plans for later in the year include the International Dinner in May, and a possible visit to the Higher Ground coffee shop in Pemberville.
President Betty Wenig reported on the Spring Home Extension meeting to be held April 23 in Bowling Green at the Extension Office. She requested ideas from the group of interesting places to visit in Wood County for this spring meeting. Details about the meeting will follow in the near future.
Elaine Frobose showed the group how to make natural fragrance jars to use in the home. Items used to make them included citrus slices, cinnamon, all spice, cloves, mint leaves, rosemary, bay leaves and vanilla. Water is added and then these ingredients are heated to release the fragrances. They can be heated on the stove top, or in small crocks.
Marian Frobose, co-hostess, served coffee cake and Valentine candies.
