Pemberville Legion Auxiliary
PEMBERVILLE - The auxiliary met Feb. 6 with President Gwen Schroeder-Zulch in charge. Nine members were present, along with guests Roger Sergent and Bill Kuhlman.
The men presented plans for an upcoming event, the "Sound of Sorgenbrechers" concert on March 23. They asked for the auxiliary's help and support for this event, a benefit for Jim Bockbrader.
Joanne Busdeker brought valentine cards to be signed by the auxiliary and sent to military members.
Daffodil Days are coming and many members will be receiving a bouquet.
Motions were made to send donations to the Eastwood After Prom Committee and the Eastwood musical program.
Thank you notes were read from the Good Samaritan Food Pantry, auxiliary department scholarship fund, and Marie Moore scholarship fund.
A get well card was sent to Red Philo and a sympathy card to the Norm Romaker family.
Auxiliary dues are due. Five more membership dues will make the auxiliary a goal unit.
The February Quarter Frenzy was a great success. Another one is planned for March.
Fish fries are slated Fridays, Feb. 15 and March 1. Members of the legion, auxiliary and SAL are asked to donate a pie. Pies can be brought to the hall Friday morning.
Continuing education scholarships were received by Brittany Potts, Leslie Guyer, Jeff Rutherford and Morgan Boyt.
Mary Busdeker served dessert.
