Laureate Gamma Sigma
Betty Buehrer hosted the Jan. 21 meeting with eight members present.
President Jackie Shank read a letter from the Endowment Fund of Beta Sigma Phi. The members approved the renewal of six funds.
Judy Robinson sent a thank you for the yellow rose received while she was recuperating from a fall.
Social committee chairperson Joyce Asmus talked about a tour of the Toledo Museum of Art. It was decided to make this a summer event.
The valentine meeting and revealing of secret pals will take place Monday at the home of Donna Lambert, with lunch served at noon.
Members are to be thinking about the arrangements and program for the May 6 Mother's Day event to be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Ohio 582.
Service committee will deliver items of food brought to the meeting to be taken to the Otsego Food Pantry.
Barbara Verhovec and her husband, Tony, will visit Delores Wickard at Blakely in February.
Buehrer gave a program on articles taken from the newspaper and Internet, with mention of the top 10 stories of 2012. She served cheesecake to the group.
Four Seasons Garden Club
The program for the evening was deciding a theme for the Pemberville Flower Show and picking out the group's project flower. The theme will be "A Wedding A'Fair'." The project flowers will be Pop Art Zinnia and White Wedding Zinnia from the Burpee catalog.
Trina Karns, Ellen Walston, Judy Sayen, Sharon Sattler and Nancy Fahle will be on the scheduling committee. The club still needs a volunteer to chair the flower show.
The club is inviting anyone interested in joining a garden club to come to its February "open house" meeting. It will be held on Monday at the Pemberville Library at 7 p.m. The program for the evening will a slide show of the Boston WAFA Flower Show, which member Faye Schuerman had attended.
