Members of the Silver Cross Circle of the International Order of the King's Daughters and Sons gathered Jan. 14 in Bowling Green to personally label 104 children's books.
The books are to be given to preschool students at the Jordan Family Development Center on the Bowling Green State University campus.
Each student will receive a book to keep with his or her name inscribed. This service project is part of the International Order's program to promote literacy.
The order is observing its 127th anniversary this month and the Silver Cross Circle, founded in Bowling Green in January 1907, is beginning its 106th year of service to the local community.
