The Black Swamp Arts Festival's art show has again earned top 100 honors from "Sunshine Artist."
The festival is ranked 55th in the magazine's listings of Fine Art and Design Shows for 2009. The rankings are determined by reports from artists participating in shows. The main factor in the ranking is sales.
Despite an ailing economy the festival's art show slipped only two places, having been ranked 53rd last year.
Also listed in the magazine's top 100 shows is the Crosby Festival of the Arts in Toledo, which ranked 56th. It had been raked 51st last year.
"Sunshine Artist" is the premier publication aimed at artists and artisans who exhibit in art fairs.
In its FastAudits report on last year's show, the magazine said:  "Artist treatment, awards and management all received glowing reviews. It's no wonder this show is a regular on our 200 Best list." The magazine has a separate ranking for Classic and Contemporary Craft Shows.
