Wheels’ youth movement rolls onto festival stages |

Yellow Springs is known as a town that cultivates the humanities, from the alternative higher education approach found at Antioch College, to the many art shops and outlets supporting the creative endeavors of area artists.
So it’s no surprise that a creative band like Wheels got their start busking on the southwest Ohio city’s streets. What began as playing on street corners for spare change has quickly evolved into a full-fledged performing outlet for the band that has shared the stage with who’s-who of musicians over the past two years, including The David Wax Museum, Bryan Sutton and Ekoostik Hookah.
The quintet, all under 18 years old, is steadily making a rise across the Ohio music scene with their distinctive approach to vocal harmony and acoustic instrumentation.
