The Black Swamp Arts Festival will be dedicating the new mural at Ben Franklin at 2 p.m. on Sept 11.
Artist Kevin Pierce completed the mural August 9, depicting various Bowling Green landmarks.
The mural is a sky scene depicting four Bowling Green Landmarks that reach into the air – Wood County Courthouse Clocktower, BGSU Jerome Library, the wind turbines located west of the city and the dowtown Cla-Zel marquee. The mural also has the Black Swamp Arts Festival logo hidden in greenery.
Planning began for the mural on June 6 and painting began July 1.
The mural was co-sponsored by the Black Swamp Arts Festival and Ben Franklin.
More then 14 gallons of paint were used to complete the mural on the north side of the Ben Franklin building.
Ben Franklin is located at 154 S Main St.
