Accidents occurred:
July 16
• At Ohio 25 and East Water Street. Benjamin Meyer, Waterville, was cited for assured clear distance
ahead after a collision with Melissa Mettler, North Baltimore.
• At Hull Prairie Road, north of Five Point Road. Beth Gmitter, Maumee, was cited for right-of-way at a
stop sign after a collision with John Maushund, Weston.
• At U.S. 6, west of U.S. 23. Jonathan Earl, Toledo, was cited for left of center after a collision with
David Mohn, BG.
A car and barn were broken into in the 16000 block of Ohio Oil Road, Cygnet. Items were taken from both
locations. A breaking and entering and theft incident was reported at a business in the same block.

• At 23790 Pemberville road, Troy Township. Linda Nauman, Luckey, was cited for failure to control after
striking a mailbox.
A vacant home was entered in the 6000 block of Linwood Road, Pemberville. It was not known when the
structure had been entered or what had been taken.

driving into a ditch.

• At Huffman Road, north of Mermill Road. Joshua Hahn, Bloomdale, was cited for failure to control after
striking a utility pole and coming to rest in a field.
• At Kellogg Road and Ohio 235. Tyler Harroun, Tontogany, was cited for right-of-way at a stop sign after
a collision with James Fox, Weston. Fox reported possible injuries but was not transported from the
scene.
• At Cygnet Road and Insley Road. Linda Wright, Cygnet, was cited for right-of-way at a left turn after a
collision with Elizabeth Lawrence, Semmes, Alabama.
• At North County Line Street, Near Stearns Road. Jennifer Dehus, Freeport, Pennsylvania, was cited for
improper right turn after striking Sandy Jurms, Fostoria.

Fraudulent use of a checking account was reported in Cygnet.
A failure-to-pay incident was reported at Fuel Mark in the 1000 block of Bowling Green Road East,
Bradner.
Accidents occurred:

• At West River Road, near Forst Road. Breanne Kidd, Tontogany, was cited for failure to control after
driving off the road and striking a guardrail.
Three juveniles reportedly broke into a garage in the 300 block of Union Street, Risingsun. No damage was
reported.
Damage to a property – including damage to a barn, thrown rocks, and vehicle marks in the yard – was
reported in the 14000 block of Potter Road, rural BG.
A gray truck reportedly struck a mailbox in the 14000 block of Wapakoneta Road, Grand Rapids.
Unauthorized use of a checking account was reported in Rudolph.
An unidentified female going door-to-door asking for gas money was reported in the 100 block of Railroad
Street, Risingsun.
A simple assault incident, in with a male was reportedly jumped by multiple subjects, was reported in the
100 block of East Main Street, Wayne.
Domestic violence was reported in the 20000 block of Sycamore Street, Weston.
Misuse of a credit card was reported in Luckey.
Theft of a green Volkswagen van was reported in the 17000 block of West River Road, rural BG.

backing, and a probationary license restriction, after striking a vehicle driven by Deanne Patterson,
BG.
Theft of items from a building was reported in the 16000 block of Euler Road, BG.
