SHERIFF’S OFFICE
A truck fire was reported July 28 in the 100 block of Randolph Street, North Baltimore.
A domestic violence incident was reported in the 13000 block of Main Street, Weston. During the incident,
the windows of a vehicle were reportedly knocked out with a hammer.
Accidents occurred:
June 29
• At the 5000 block of U.S. 6. A trailer being hauled by Gregory Kauffman Jr., Bowling Green, became
detached and struck Ray Berlekamp, Green Springs. Kauffman was cited for unsecured load and expired
registration.
Theft of landscaping rocks was reported in the 23000 block of West River Road, Grand Rapids.
Theft of items from a shed was reported in the 12000 block of Potter Road, Weston.
Theft of guns, swords and other items was reported in the 12000 block of Potter Road, Weston.
Theft of money from a residence was reported June 30 in the 12000 block of Mermill Road, Portage.
Theft of a Playstation video game console was reported in the 10000 block of Middleton Pike, rural BG.

Damage to a field was reported in the 1000 block of Prairie View Road, Deshler.
A credit card fraud incident was reported in Grand Rapids.
The window of a vehicle was reportedly broken in the 13000 block of Main Street, Weston.
A tackle box and fishing poles were taken from a vehicle at Mary Jane Thurston Park, Grand Rapids.
The windows of a van were broken out in the area of Oak Street and Otsego Pike, Weston.

On the morning of July 4, David LaRoe reported an American flag stolen overnight from the bridge that is
put out each year near his LaRoe’s Restaurant in Grand Rapids.
A North Baltimore resident reported on July 4, they discovered one of their cats had been killed. The
head and intestines were found on a table near the pond at the home. The residents do not believe it was
done by another animal.
In the 23000 block of Euler Road, Weston, a report of a breaking and entering was lodged on July 5 at
5:13 p.m.
In Bloomdale, two subjects were observed entering a garage and taking a 5-gallon gas can. The report
filed at 5:30 p.m. July 5 indicated the subjects also entered the residence.
A report was filed on July 6 that a the roof of a truck was keyed overnight on Third Street in Grand
Rapids.
There was a report filed July 7 of a BB shot through a window in Weston through a mobile home window on
Center Street.
A report was filed July 8 that a stray dog has attacked all of the chickens of a resident in the 21000
block of Rudolph Road, Weston.
A Maple Street resident of Weston reported July 8 a case of identity theft as someone has been using her
Social Security number.

The theft of a 15-inch Apple Macbook Pro and a Canon Rebel camera were reported in the 100 block of Ridge
Street.
Jessica Griffin, 22, BG, was arrested on an outstanding BGPD warrant. She posted bond on station.
