Accidents occurred:
July 16
• At South Main Street and West Washington Street. Robert Firsdon, Fostoria, was cited for right-of-way
at a left turn after a collision with Wanda Shaw, Bloomdale.
A scam involving checks sent to a resident was reported in the city.
The window of a vehicle was broken, and items stolen, at the Victory Inn, 1630 E. Wooster St.
July 17 citations:
Defective exhaust: Jeffrey Whiteman, Curtice.
Disorderly conduct/public urination: Joel Spangler, BG.
Expired license, expired registration: Qianzhao Wang, BG.
One brake light: Christopher Keller, Toledo.
Operating vehicle impaired, prohibited alcohol concentration (BAC 0.222): Donald Backus Jr., BG.
Theft: Ty Krill, BG.
At Uptown Downtown, 162 N. Main St., Joshua Kalbfliesh, 21, BG, was arrested on a BG Police warrant and
taken to jail. He was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Theft of checks, which were later forged and passed in the city, were reported.
Theft of a bicycle, occurring sometime during the previous week, was reported in the 200 block of East
Napoleon Road. Another bicycle theft was reported in the 300 block of Parkview Drive.
An apparent road rage incident was reported in the area of South Grove Street and West Wooster Street.

A car door striking another vehicle, causing a scuff, was reported at City Park.
A hit-skip crash was reported in the 100 block of South Main Street.
At South Main Street and East Gypsy Lane Road, Justin Heban, 18, Grand Rapids, was arrested on a warrant
and taken to jail.

Criminal trespass, theft: Michael Baer, BG; Jason Barker, Tallassee, Alabama.
Disorderly conduct/urinating in public: Tyler Carter, BG.
Traffic control device: Cameron Jenkins, BG.
Underage possession, open container: Taylor Anderson, Toledo.
Right-of-way at an intersection, no license: Marc Robinett Jr., BG.
Theft, underage possession: Tristan Geis, Haskins.
A fraud incident involving a check sent to pay for a car bought on Craigs List, was reported to BG
Police.
Unauthorized checks cashed from a bank account were reported in the city.
At East Wooster Street and South Main Street, Michael Portteus Jr., 29, BG, a pedestrian, was arrested on
a Wood County Sheriff’s Office warrant after a collision with Anthony Snyder, Bloomville. Snyder was
cited for right-of-way at a left turn. Portteus was taken to Bowling Green Municipal Court, where he
posted bond.
Donald Lee Jr., 31, Toledo, was arrested on a Ohio Highway Patrol warrant and taken to jail. He was also
cited for driving under suspension.
At Kroger, 1094 N. Main St., Lori Allen, 31, and Rassheen Dunn, 34, both of BG, were arrested for theft.
