According to a published report in the Terre Haute Tribune Star, David Ragland has agreed to be an
assistant men’s basketball coach at Bowling Green State University with new head coach Chris Jans.
Ragland has been an assistant coach for the last four years at Indiana State.
“Chris Jans is someone everyone on our staff knows pretty well,” Ragland told the Tribune Star. “I’ve
known him for about 10 years. It’s someone we trust and respect. He’s like us. He’s a hard worker. My
knowing him is how it came about.”
Ragland’s wife, Annie, has family near Bowling Green.
“My wife will be moving closer to her family, and it’s a place where I’ve had success recruiting in Ohio.
The way their program is moving and how progressive they want to be, it kind of makes sense,” Ragland
told the Tribune Star.
