Nick Monroe and Larry McDaniel have been retained on the Bowling Green State University football staff by new head coach Dino Babers.
Monroe has been BG’s secondary coach for the last five seasons helping develop all-conference performers Jerry ‘BooBoo’ Gates and Cameron Truss.
A graduate of St. Cloud State University, Monroe coached as Allegheny College and Colgate University before coming to Bowling Green.
McDaniel has coached BG’s defensive line for the last four years. In that time he has helped develop All-American Chris Jones, now with the New England Patriots, and all-conference performer Ted Ouellet.
A graduate of Indiana University, McDaniel has been an assistant coach for 15 years at Mid-American Conference schools, including Kent State and Ball State.
