Falcons' Hammond signs with Ottawa (3-20-13) PDF Print E-mail

OTTAWA, Ontario — Bowling Green goalie Andrew Hammond has signed a two-year entry-level contract with the NHL’s Ottawa Senators. The senior will report to the Binghamton Senators, Ottawa’s affiliate in the American Hockey League.
Hammond, an undrafted free agent, had a 2.47 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage in 29 games this season.
The 25-year-old was one of the best goalies in BG history as he ranks second in goals-against average (2.84) and tied for third in save percentage (.906).
