The Bowling Green Falcon softball team has added eight players for the 2014 season. The eight are Laramie Abbruzzese, Chelsea Raker, Madison Schrock, Haley Schrock, Aspen Searle, Sami Parave, Trista Mokienko and Amanda Durham. Abbruzzese is an outfielder from Upper Arlington High School where she led the team in batting, hits, stolen bases, on-base percentage and runs the past two seasons. Raker is a corner infielder, most recently playing at Westerville South High School. She was a first-team all-conference pick last season. Madison Schrock and Haley Schrock are twin sisters from Northridge (Ind.) High School. Madison, an infielder, is a two-time all-conference selection, and holds Northridge's single-season record for runs (46) and doubles (16). Haley, a first-team all-conference and all-district selection last year, batting .500 on the season. She holds Northridge's single-season and career record for home runs. Aspen Searle is a middle-infielder who has played for the 16U, 18U and 21U Canadian National Teams. Parave, an outfielder, is from Mason High School is a three-year varsity starter, earning second team all-conference honors last season. Mokienko currently plays at Delsea Regional High School, splitting time with her travel team, the Jersey Jaguars. Durham currently plays at St. John Vianney High School, splitting time with her travel team, the New Jersey Nightmare. |
