CLEVELAND — The Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team has been selected to finish sixth in the Mid-American Conference East in the MAC preseason poll, The poll was voted on by a 25-member MAC News Media Panel.
Bowling Green earned 35 total points to rank just behind Miami at 42 points.
The complete poll is: East, 1) Akron, 143, 18 first-place votes; 2) Buffalo, 120, six first-place votes; 3) Ohio, 94; 4) Kent State, 91, one first-place vote; 5) Miami, 42; 6) Bowling Green, 35; and West, 1) Toledo, 149, 24 first-place votes; 2) Western Michigan, 108; 3) Eastern Michigan, 101, one first-place vote; 4) Ball State, 89; 5) Central Michigan, 50; 6) Northern Illinois, 28.
Akorn received 14 votes to win the MAC tournament, Toledo received seven, and Buffalo one.
The preseason all-conference teams are: East, Javon McCrea, Buffalo; Demetrius Treadwell, Akron; Will Felder, Miami; Will Regan, Buffalo; and Quincy Diggs, Akron; and West, Rian Pearsona and Julius Brown, Toledo; Shayne Whittington, Western Michigan; Majok Majok, Ball State; and Glenn Bryant, Eastern Michigan.
