Home-and-home series against Miami and Ohio State, and an outdoor game against Robert Morris at Fifth
Third Field in Toledo highlight Bowling Green’s nonleague hockey schedule next season.
The Falcons open the season against Miami in a Friday-Sunday series that starts Oct. 10 in the Ice Arena
and finishes Oct. 12 in Oxford.
BG plays OSU Nov. 14-15.
The Falcons, Miami and OSU all were members of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, which broke up
after the 2012-13 season when college hockey’s massive realignment took affect.
BG’s outdoor game is Jan. 3 at noon and the home-and-home series concludes the next night at Robert
Morris.
The Falcons’ eight-game nonleague schedule also includes a two-game series at Clarkson Oct. 24-25.
The Falcons’ 36-game regular-season schedule consists of 16 home games, 19 road games and the
neutral-site game at Toledo, which is BG’s home game.
BG also plays 28 WCHA games, including four games against defending WCHA regular-season champion Ferris
State and a two-game series against league playoff champion Minnesota State.
The Falcons’ WCHA schedule consists of 14 home games and 14 away games.
They’ll face five opponents four times each (two home, two away) and four opponents twice each (both
games at the same site).
The Falcons play Alabama-Huntsville, Alaska (Fairbanks) Bemidji State, Ferris State and Northern Michigan
four times each.
BG hosts Minnesota State and Lake Superior in two-game series, and visits Michigan Tech and
Alaska-Anchorage in two-game series.
The Falcons’ Canadian exhibition is against Simon Fraser, located in Burnaby, British Columbia, on Oct.
4.
