Falcon baseball eliminated from MAC tourney (5-22-14)

AVON — Bowling Green’s baseball team was eliminated from the Mid-American Conference tournament Thursday
with a 7-4 loss to Western Michigan at All Pro Freight Stadium. BOX

Western scored four times in the top of the ninth inning to erase a 4-3 deficit.
BG scored all of its runs in the fourth to take a one-run lead after Western built a 3-0 lead during the
first two innings.
The Falcons had eight hits, all singles, including two each by Brian Bien and Jesse Rait.
BG starting pitcher Andrew Lacinak allowed three runs (one earned) on five hits in 7 1/3 innings with six
strikeouts and three walks.
The Falcons, seeded fifth in the tournament, finished 25-27. Western, the No. 8 seed, improved to 23-30.
