Bowling Green’s baseball team will face host University of Louisville in an NCAA regional baseball semifinal Friday night at 6.
The Falcons earned an automatic bid for the NCAA tournament by winning the Mid-American Conference Tournament on Sunday.
The 64-team field for the NCAATournament was announced Monday at noon.
The Falcons, at 24-29 overall, are the only team with a losing record in the tournament. BG is in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1999 and fourth time overall.

Louisville is 46-12. The Cardinals won the Big East Conference regular-season championship, but lost twice in the Big East tournament to end a 16-game winning streak.
Louisville was ranked as high as eighth nationally going into the Big East Tournament.
The other regional semifinal matches Oklahoma State (39-17) against Miami, Fla. (36-23) at 2 p.m.
The regional continues Saturday and Sunday, and, if needed, Monday.
The regional champion advances to one of eight super regionals in a best-of-3 series.
The Louisville champion plays the Vanderbilt regional winner in the super regional for a best-of-3 series. Vanderbilt was the No. 2 seed nationally.

Game 4 — Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner,  5 p.m.
Sunday’s Games
Game 5 — Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 loser, noon
Game 6 — Game 4 winner vs. Game 5 winner, 4 p.m.
Monday’s Games
Game 7 — Game 4 winner vs. Game 5 winner, 7 p.m., if necessary
