BG’s Gallon out for rest of season

Chris Gallon, a starting wide receiver for the Bowling Green State University Falcons, is out for
the rest of the season, Falcons’ head coach Dave Clawson said Tuesday.Gallon suffered a knee injury in BG’s
21-20 loss at Mississippi State on Oct. 12.A 6-foot-4, 223 pound, redshirt sophomore, Gallon emerged as the
Falcons’ No. 1 option last season leading the team with 54 receptions for 720 yards and six scores. His best
game in 2012 was a Perry Stadium-record 213 receiving yards against Kent State. He had 10 receptions and two
TDs in the KSU game.This season Gallon had 24 receptions for 232 yards and two TDs.Jared Cohen, a 6-1, 189,
redshirt junior, will start in Gallon’s place.A junior college transfer who was redshirted last season,
Cohen had career highs with five receptions for 51 yards filling in for Gallon in the Mississippi State
game.Freshman Teo Redding is Cohen’s backup.
