PEMBERVILLE - Pemberville Children's Theatre Workshop will present "Flapper" tonight and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Pemberville Opera House.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for those age 15 and under.
The fifth children's theatre workshop production features 39 children ages 7-15 from the Northwest Ohio area under the direction of Angela Patchett with musical direction by Donella Wilt. The cast has been rehearsing since early June.
The Sunday show will be preceded by an old fashioned ice cream social on the brick street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Funding for the production comes from the Gale and Marlyn Williamson Performing Arts Fund.
Set in the The Roaring Twenties, the plot by Tim Kelly involves a young flapper about to inherit a diamond necklace called the "Ice Garden' and mobsters intent on stealing it.
Songs by Bill Francoeur include "The Roaring Twenties," "It Has to be Jazz,'" "Mona's Moaning Low," "Dijja Ever?" and the title tune.
