|Duo plays new piece|

Alan Smith on cello and Thomas Rosen-kranz on piano will present the world premier performance of "The Highwayman" by Wallace DePue, Sr., professor emeritus Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall in Bowling Green State University's College of Musical Arts.
DePue composed the piece based on the famous Alfred Noyes' poem as a memorial to Smith's late wife, Diana, who died Oct. 12, 2007. She was a pianist who often collaborated with her husband.
Devin Klinger will narrate "The Highwayman." Â
Smith and Rosenkranz will also perform "Suite in Old Style" by Alfred Schnittke. The piece originally for piano andÂ violin was arranged by Smith for piano and cello.
