The Mechanical Cat will be headlining the Hump Day Revue tonight at The Stones Throw, 176 E. Wooster St., Bowling Green.   
The cartoon extraterrestrial will take to the  stage from 10 to 11 p.m. performing selections for his newest release "Nine Stars."
The creation of John Zibbel, blends electronica, hip-hop, space travel, and animals.
The revue begins at 8 p.m. with a first set by John Tumbush of Christmas classics.  The ukulele band, the GRUBS, Bruce Lillie and Boo Lee Crosser will follow. Hump Day Revue regulars including host Tim Concannon will perform after the Mechanical Cat set.

TOLEDO -   Bassist Clifford Murphy with vocalists will perform holiday jazz  at a Jazz on the Maumee concert Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Aqua Lounge at the Grand Plaza Hotel, 444 N Summit St.  
Cover charge is $15 and  $5 for students.

To celebrate the holiday season, the Bowling Green Area Community Band, led by Conductor Thomas Headley, will present a concert of sacred and traditional music Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Bowling Green Schools Performing Arts Center.
The free concert will feature familiar Christmas carols in new settings, including some jazz interpretations, courtesy of the community band's jazz band.
The centerpiece of the concert will be Alfred Reed's "Russian Christmas" a musically complex, composition comprised of musical selections from the Russian Orthodox liturgy.  Soloists will include Lexie Beamer, English horn. 
The concert band will also perform a fanfare based upon "Adeste Fidelis," the Hallelujah Chorus from "Messiah" by Handel and "Celtic Carol" featuring piccolo soloist Erin Crawford.

The Horn Cub from Bowling Green State University's College of Musical Arts will perform a free Christmas Concert Sunday at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 126 S. Church St., Bowling Green.

Piano students to play selections from 'Rudolph'
TONTOGANY - The Grand Rapids Arts Council is presenting Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 15 in the Otsego Elementary School Commons.
Piano students of Lynne Long will be performing songs from the popular musical, along with many other Christmas favorites.  Participating will be:  Nathaniel Born, Ava Bowen, Abby Eberly, Jacob Fritz, Sammy Head, Abigail Hergert, Elijah Hergert, Joshua Hergert, Naomi Hergert, Ruth Hergert, Gabriella Hoag, Jason Hoag, Bethany Horen, Jason Jones, Zach Jones, Nick Korducki, Sarah Korducki, Alexander Landgraf, Christian Morgan, Micha Shank, Brooke Simon, Morgan Simon, and Moira Yaney.
