| BGSU chorale holds auditions for new voices |

The College of Musical Arts at Bowling Green State University will hold open auditions for the 2012-13 season of the University Choral Society. Highlights of the season will include performances of Handel's "Messiah" and Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. The ensemble will perform "Messiah" with soloists and the symphony on Dec. 1 and 2 and "Carmina Burana" on Feb. 8 and 9. The chorale will also perform the Orff classic April 13 with the Lima Symphony Orchestra. On April 21 the group will join the Bowling Green Philharmonia for a performance of Aaron Copland's "Old American Songs." Mark Munson directs the chorus. The chorus rehearses on Tuesday from 7:30 until 9:30 at the College of Musical Arts. The first rehearsal is Aug. 28. To schedule an audition, call the college at (419) 372-2181. |
