The Graduate String Quartet and voice students of Sean Cooper will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Manor House, in Wildwood Metropark of Toledo.

Bowling Green State University's Department of Theatre and Film presents the Tony Award-winning musical "Spring Awakening," which captures the irresistible forces and challenges of adolescence. The musical, based on the play by Frank Wedekind,will be stages Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. with matinees Saturday at and Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Donnell Theatre of the Wolfe Center for the Arts. The Creative Writing Reading Series continues with a BFA reading at 7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel.

Percussion styles from all over the globe will be represented at World Percussion Night, at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. Performing will be the Taiko, Afro-Caribbean and Gamelan, ensembles.

Master of fine arts degree students will discuss their work at a gallery talk at 5 p.m. in the Dorothy Uber Bryan Gallery in the Fine Arts Center.

The University Men's Chorus, directed by Timothy Cloeter, and University Women's Chorus, directed by Sandra Frey Stegman, will perform at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall. Tickets are $10. Call (419) 372-8171.

The Bowling Green Philharmonia, directed by Emily Freeman Brown, will perform at 3 p.m. in Kobacker Hall at the Moore Musical Arts Center. The program includes Maurice Ravel's "Alborada del gracioso, Sch√©h√©rezade" featuring soprano Jennifer Goode, Aaaron Copland's "Old American Songs, set I," featuring the University Chorale Society, Ravel's "Bolero,"  and Benjamin Britten's "Peter Grimes: Four Sea Interludes." The 1945 British film "I Know Where I'm Going" will be screened at 3 p.m. in Gish Film Theater in Hanna Hall.

The first of two MFA Thesis Exhibitions continues through Sunday in School of Art's Dorothy Uber Bryan and Willard Wankelman galleries. Exhbiting work are: Emily Jay, painting and drawing; Natalie McChessney, painting and drawing; Charles O'Neil, painting and drawing; Timothy Walker, sculpture. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.
