TODAY
The Early Music Ensemble performs music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque periods at 8 p.m.
in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.
THURSDAY
Guillermo del Toro’s "Pan’s Labyrinth." will be shown at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater of
Hanna Hall as part of the International Film Series. This dark fantasy film is set five years after the
Spanish Civil War and centers on an overgrown labyrinth and faun creature, which interacts with the main
character, Ofelia.
BGSU alumna Tessa Mellas returns to campus to talk about the craft of writing at 7:30 p.m. in Prout
Chapel. Mellas’ first story collection, "Lungs Full of Noise," was published in October 2013.

Jazz Guitar ensembles, directed by Chris Buzzelli, will perform standard tunes, modern jazz and original
compositions at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall.
FRIDAY
The Master of Fine Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition I opens with a 7-9 p.m. reception in the Dorothy Uber
Bryan and Willard Wankelman galleries at the Fine Arts Center. The exhibit displays the work of graduate
students who are ready to start their careers as professionals. Continues through April 19. Gallery
hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.

FRIDAY-SUNDAY
The Gish Film Theater hosts its Film and Media Festival starting Friday at 7 p.m. The festival screens
student work, screenplay readings, film study presentations and workshops throughout the three days.
FRIDAY & SATURDAY
The Department of Theatre and Film presents "Detroit ’67," at 8 p.m. in the Eva Marie Saint
Theatre of the Wolfe Center for the Arts. The play relates the story of Chelle and her brother Lank as
they start a family business to make ends meet. But thanks to a mysterious woman, the siblings begin to
fight right around the time their city begins to riot.
SATURDAY
Under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Thompson and Dr. Carol Hayward, the University and Concert bands
perform at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.
SUNDAY
The Gish Film Theater will show a Sunday Matinee is a double feature at 3 p.m. It starts with the
15-minute "Frankenstein" from 1910 directed by J. Searle Dawley and starring Charles Ogle, and
ends with 1932 "The Most Dangerous Game" starring Fay Wray and Joel McCrea. Film historian Jan
Wahl will introduce the program.
Exceptional high school singers from the region perform with BGSU’s Men’s and Women’s Choruses for the
High School Honors Choir Concert at 7 p.m. in Kobacker Hall.
APRIL15
The Graduate String Quartet performs at the Manor House in Wildwood Metropark in Toledo at 7:30 p.m.
Jazz Lab Band II, directed by Jeff Halsey, will play at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall.
APRIL 16
The Bowling Green Opera Theater presents vocal students performing selections from various operas at 8
p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall.
APRIL 17
The Wind Symphony, directed by Carol Hayward, will play contemporary and standard pieces at 8 p.m. in
Kobacker Hall.
The Graduate String Quartet performs at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall.
